An Excellent Evening
Having just almost completed reading David Sedaris' latest two books, I was thrilled that the bulk of his show was trying out several new pieces. They were all wonderful and entertaining. He did read some sections from his new books and hearing them in his voice made them all the more funny.
I did think that audience questions should have been repeated for all to hear as I couldn't hear them and missed the humor in his responses.
Aside from that I thought it was a very entertaining evening and worth every penny of the cost of two tickets. This was our third time hearing Sedaris and he only gets better each time. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Sunday with David Sedaris
My first time attending Ovens Auditorium, so I had a bit of trouble knowing exactly how to find the parking entrance, but once in, lots of help finding parking. Suggest a few road signage put out to direct people like me to the correct entrance. :)
Once in, we were met with a nice pleasant crowd and found our seats. Because of a balance problem, we used the elevator, but it didn't go up to the area where our seats were. People were understanding of the slow lady going up the steps. :)
The show was wonderful! I've read his books for years and it was so interesting to hear him read his own words and comments during the show. His sense of humor is marvelous and everyone around us seemed to be enjoying the show as much as we did.
I'll give his show a 5 Star; directions and parking a 4 and elevator a 3...
All in all, a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
